Use this screen to set the departments that a manager will also serve.
Normally, managers have viewing permissions for their own department and its sub-departments, but once a manager has been set up with a dual-department, they will also be able to view the department and its sub-departments.
Once a manager has been set up with a dual-department, they will be able to select users from those departments as approvers for approval flows such as goal evaluation periods.
When you open the screen, a list of managers will be displayed, along with their affiliated departments and currently set concurrent departments.
Click the "Edit" button to the left of the manager for which you want to set a concurrent department to move to the concurrent department settings screen.
Clicking the "Select" link in the center of the screen will open a sub-screen for selecting departments.
Select the department you want to set as a dual-purpose department from the sub-screen, verify that it is listed in the "Dual-purpose department list" on the parent screen, then click the "Update" button to set the dual-purpose department.
You can also delete a dual-purpose department that has already been set by clicking the "Delete" button to the left of the list, deleting the relevant department from the list, and then clicking "Update".
Whether you are setting a new department or deleting one, the updates will not be finalized until you click the "Update" button.
